Zakres obowiązków

• Assisting and executing the research, design and development of products from concept through production • Individually exploring conceptual and blue sky projects • Coordinating the use and maintenance of the Industrial Design shop • Creation of a portfolio containing all work completed at SRAM • 6 months paid position • 40 hrs/week

Wymagania

• BA/BS/studies in process in Industrial Design or equivalent • Good demonstration of skills in: research, problem-solving, sketching, model making, ergonomic exploration, graphic development, and CAD modeling • Enthusiastic and passionate about design • Ability to handle many projects and tasks simultaneously • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills • Proficient knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced global team environment • Valid work and residence permit for Germany

Oferujemy

SRAM is seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to intern with the Industrial Design team at our European Engineering and Design office located in Schweinfurt, Germany. Interns are given significant responsibilities to execute their own projects from concept to production, and are also expected to support the design team with additional research, sketching, ergonomic mock-ups, and the construction of appearance and proof-of-principle models. The internship focuses on teaching extra professional skills achieved through work experience which are not necessarily learned in design school. Your portfolio will be assessed and areas that should be advanced will be targeted. Interns are required to document their work throughout their internship, capturing their entire design process in a portfolio that will be presented to the design team upon the completion of their internship. Interns leave with a greater knowledge of process, design, ergonomics and manufacturing.
