The Project 2016
The 5th Rencontre Internationale des Etudiants d’Art will take place between saturday 25 June and sunday 24 July 2016 at Saint Rémy de Provence France.
1/ Which Students? Art students who are enroled for the scolastic year 2015/2016 in an Art school. " Our aim is to promote young artists. This year we have also selected among the 10 foreign countries :POLAND, school WARSAW, that of Poznan and the KRAKOW. POLAND is a member of the European Union".
2/ Logistic. The students will be accommodated by the Cour des Arts and it’s supporters during the 4 week period. Transport to Saint Rémy de Provence will be paid for from the French mainland by La Cour des Arts. A studio will be at their disposal at St Rémy de Provence and they will be lodged in a residence assigned to them. A budget of € 160 for materials will be given to them on their arrival.
3/ Artistic activity: The general theme proposed to the students is
They should, through works both personal and collective on this theme, develop their skills. They will be aided or advised throughout the project by professional artists and will also be accompanied by an experienced coordinator for questions of an organisational and logistical nature.
Students are asked to propose the project that they hope to realise on this theme during their stay. Visits of sites of remarkable interest in Les Alpilles will be organised which in order to inspire their talents !
An exhibition of their works produced during the project will take place in a gallery in Saint Rémy at the end of July 2016. Works may be sold at the students discretion after two works by each student have been left to La Cour des Arts.
4/ How to apply ? Interested students must fill out a registration form which they can obtain from their art school or the site lacourdesarts.com and send it before the 31st March 2016 duly filled in with the supporting documentation to :

5/ Selection of students : All the candidate’s dossiers will be studied by a committee composed of members of the art world (artists, gallerists, museum conservationists, and artistic organisations both regional and national) It will choose 7 successful applicants who will be notified of their selection before the 30th April 2016.
Important notice :
It is certain that this “rencontre” offers a holiday to the students but it is a working holiday.
They will be selected to improve their abilities. This requires total involvement in the work proposed both personal and collective. In proposing their candidature the students agree to these conditions.
